Justin Dillon is professor of science and environmental education and Head of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Bristol. He teaches on initial teacher education courses and Master’s courses with a focus on teacher development and education management – the subject of his PhD. After taking a degree in chemistry, Justin trained as a teacher and taught in six London schools before joining King’s College London in 1989 where he was a lecturer, senior lecturer and then professor. Justin co-edits the International Journal of Science Education and was President of the European Science Education Research Association from 2007-11. His research interests focus on the convergence of science and environmental education.
