Travel

Advice on travelling to Bath and the University can be found on this web page.

Further travel advice;

If coming by train you should purchase a ticket that includes “Bath Spa” station. This is the one train station servicing Bath directly. Tickets can be purchased in train stations, online and sometimes whilst on the train itself. However, a convenient way to obtain tickets is to install the GWR app (Android and Apple) on your phone. This allows route planning, ticket purchasing and provides the ticket as a QR code on your phone.

If coming by bus, the most likely provider is National Express which services all airports in the UK. Typically these tickets should be pre-booked. Note that at some times of the day the bus route is quite long and involves many stops. At other times of the day the route is more direct and so quicker.

Once at either the Bath Spa Train Station or the Bath Central Bus Station (right next door to the train station), there are taxi ranks and a quick trip up to campus. Ask to be taken to the “University of Bath bus station”.

Alternatively, you may wish to come up to campus by bus. You can pay using cash, card or through the First Bus app. More information on bus routes can be found here.

The Chancellor’s Building is within sight and about a 1 minute walk away. Come up to level 2 to register and drop off your bags whilst you then check in at the West Accommodations Office. This is located on the opposite side of campus (only 5 minute’s walk away).
