Xana Sá Pinto grew up on the beautiful slopes of Douro Valley. She has graduated in Biology and completed her PhD in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Porto. While an evolutionary biologist she participated in several science education and communication projects during which she developed her interest in these research fields. In 2015, she joined the research team of CIDTFF.UA, where she has been involved in the creation and support of transdisciplinary research networks that co-create knowledge and solutions based on science and practice knowledge such as EvoKE, EuroScitizen COST Action (in which she leads WG2) and BiblioLab. She is the mother of two wonderful and curious daughters, who always amaze her and turn grey days blue.
